1.4GHz 64-bit quad-core processor, dual-band wireless LAN, Bluetooth 4.2/BLE in the same mechanical format as the Raspberry Pi 1 Model A+
Ever since the Raspberry Pi 1 Model A+, there has been requests for a Model A+ version for newer Raspberry Pies. The Raspberry Pi Foundation has listened to those requests and have produced the new Raspberry Pi 3 Model A+.
This Model version is a smaller form factor and lower price point than the Raspberry Pi 3 B+.
In order to achieve this, some components did need to be removed, like the 4-USB hub and cutting the RAM in half, but it still boasts a 64-bit quad core processor that runs at 1.4 GHz, a dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz wireless LAN, and Bluetooth 4.2/BLE just like the Raspberry Pi 3 B+.
Raspberry Pi 3 B+ and Raspberry Pi 3 A+ size comparison:
Raspberry Pi 3 B+ vs Raspberry Pi 3 A+
Specifications:
